Raw water supplies contaminated with high levels of suspended solids:

GES has filtration plants available to solve all of the above suspended solids problems with filter plants having the following filtration media:

» Graded sand/gravel

» Sand/Anthracite

» Activated carbon

» Iron/Manganese removal media.

The units are available with either:

» Manually operated backwash facility

» Automatic Backwash facility

The filtration process is controlled from a central control panel complete with warning lights and an engraved mimic on which lamps show the service state of all items. The panel houses circuit breakers, motor starters and level switches and PLC.

Iron removal units are used to reduce the iron content and turbidity from the raw water, thereby preventing Scaling & Colouring of Pipes, Fittings & Accessories. Removal of Iron is very important in the highly sensitive RO Process, where the feed water should be free from Iron.

Our system consists of cylindrical mild steel pressure vessels, lined internally with anticorrosive liners and externally protected with approved liners, Fitted with water collection and distribution system, one set of required pipelines, valves, sampling cocks, pressure Gauges and Anticorrosive Strainers.

GES Iron removal units use a Media which ensures very efficient removal of iron. Specially graded filtering media charged with best quality oxidising catalyst and activated carbon and backwash design ensures reduction of iron upto allowable levels in the water.
