Water softeners
The presence of calcium and magnesium ions in natural water causes hardness. Ion Exchange process is widely employed in industry for water softening. Softening is done by passing the hard water through a bed of ion exchanger, in which the calcium and magnesium ions are removed and replaced by sodium ions. Negatively charged ions remain in the softened water. Softening does not reduce the total dissolved solids. Sodium cation exchange resins can easily be regenerated with a solution of common salt (NaCl) resulting in the reversal of ionic reactions viz Ca and Mg ions being washed out as chlorides while the Na remains in the cation exchange resin so that it is again ready to act as a softening agent.
Our Softeners use 100 % corrosion resistant FRP tanks and User friendly Multi port Valve system. The Distribution systems and support media are designed for efficient & trouble free operations.
